How has it already been a year since I’ve met you???  Say hi to Jackson – I’ve been lucky enough to document this dudes life since before he was even born – and what a pleasure its been.  Jackson was part of our baby’s first year plan – starting with maternity photos right into hospital and in home newborn then a six month session and culminating in his ONE YEAR OLD photos!!! I can’t BELIEVE he is so big! And how special that we were able to document his new walking skills at our session last month. 😉he is seriously so happy – the smiles we had going from the beginning of the session had me laughing and my heart melting at the same time!!!

he has this awesome painted mural wall in his bedroom – and his shirts for photo sessions usually complement it well 😉

you all know how strongly i feel about parents being in photos with their kids.  there is something about this photo of Jackson and his mama that gives me all the feels.  the laughter – i can almost feel him running and jumping into her… this is my love for photography – the ability an image has to bring you back into a moment.. like it was yesterday.

we had to mimic an image we did in our newborn session on their master bed… jack was a little more mobile this time!!!

thanks for letting me document your life jack and fam!!!  there is not bigger honor than to be invited into someones home over and over to take snippets of their reality – my hope is that these moments live on forever.. through their printed albums they can share stories of this first year of Jack’s life – they can tell them about their adventures, the home they brought him home to, their puppy and all of his favorite things.  this.. is why i’m a photographer.
