i got to witness something super special a few weeks ago. mr patrick here was officially adopted by his mama after having spent 591 days of his life with her. i was honored to be able to photograph this momentous occasion for his mom and family. patrick is super fun, full of energy and adventurous. he had everyone in the courtroom laughing by playing peek-a-boo behind the stand and even managed to get the judge to let him come up to her desk and use her gavel! it’s hard not to love patrick with his adorable smiles and inquisitive eyes. he was so easy going and happy for our shoot, the hardest part for me was running around to keep up with him!!! 😉 his mama is pretty amazing too – having endured so many things on this journey to give patrick the best life she knew was possible for him. stay tuned for more of patrick on our blog as we prepare for a really special post all about fostering to adopt!
