one of the absolute best parts of this job is watching kids grow up.  to be a silent observer of how a couple becomes a family, and then how that family unit progresses.  we did tighe’s newborn photos at his parents one bedroom flat in troy – this really awesome unique apartment full of natural light and right on one of the busiest roads!  throughout the last year, after much searching they have finally found the home of their dreams!! Its a bit more country than their last place, and i was thrilled to be able to capture some moments for them before tighe turned one.  and TODAY happens to be that day!!!  he is the happiest little man – especially when we gave him some yummy snacks towards the end of our session!  i am lucky enough to work with both of his parents at the hospital and i get to observe the crazy amount of love they have for this boy on a regular basis.  they are the perfect little family of three, and now they have the most perfect home for him to cause all kinds of craziness for them in!!  thanks jon and jess for asking me to celebrate this awesome time in your lives – i look forward to many more adventures and experiences with mr. tighe!!!! 🙂

theres seriously nothing i love more than seeing dads love on their babies… dads are notoriously less into family photos than moms are… but once they start snuggling with their little ones, all bets are off… and they happen to be my favorite types of photos <3

tighe was way more thrilled with his mama than he was the giant balloon she got for him!

he constantly would put his hands so perfectly on his pants, like a polite gentleman.. it was by far the cutest thing.
